before sunrise part two

(first written in july last year; updated with before midnight news)

i must be old. really vintage archaic aged museum piece old.
last nyt, while resting because of flu, colds and cough, i watched before sunrise and before sunset again, richard linklater's ode to young luv and the foolish things we do before real lyf hits us.
surprisingly, after watching the two movies back to back for the nth time, i was more drawn to before sunset this time. lyk i could totally relate to the older jesse (ethan hawke) and celine (julie delpy).
especially celine, the angrier, more cynical, but still obviously in luv with jesse.

&&&&&&

anyway, i luv the soundtrack of these films. too bad, i left my cd at our villa in the philippines. chos.
i always luv this song. listen and weep. it's so heartfelt, so touching, can't help but look at my own foolish, self centered, selfish youth.

as celine puts it - "memories are wonderful things, if you don't have to deal with the past."

it's great to know that richard, julie and ethan found the time to do a third one, before midnight.  i hope that this time, jesse and celine  are married, hopefully, happily with kids. dealing with children, bills and juggling career, family and their own passion.
this is luvly - something to look forward to.

&&&&&&&

after watching before sunrise years ago when i was one and twenty, still green, still starry eyed, eager to conquer the world, i thought of packing up my back pack and travel europe. work as a waiter, a bar tender, street cleaner, sleep on the parks, shower in public rest rooms. but i got scared when i remembered that not only was i broke, but i can't speak any european language - not even spanish. chos!

now at forty three, i am more realistic. lyk celine and jesse.
i still want to do europe, but only with sumone i really luv
double chos!!
