thank god he is not in the monastery

if you think that the country's leading television network has the monopoly of gorgeous young men (think ejay falcon, miko raval, pj go, jericho rosales and of course gerald anderson and piolo pascual), then it's time for you to switch channels and look very, very hard at the emerging young men at the other station, also  known as gma-seven.

the network that won the ratings war last year and lorded over the competition with its trailblazing gay soap my husband's lover has some sparkling gems inside its gilded closet (no pun intended) that once they are put out into the open, polished and made to shine, the so-called bigger rival will probably cry in shame and try to lure them over to jump into its backyard with a promise of a bigger pay check and more exposure. chos!

listen fairies, witches, bitches, princesses, queens and wannabes, over at gma-seven, there is one promising young man who is just oozing with sex appeal: derrick monasterio, currently starring in forgettable afternoon soaps. tall (six feet), lean, with the required mestizo look that drives the country's young ladies and specially gay men crazy, derrick's star is looking brighter.

derrick is of course the son of former actress tina monasterio (frankly i don't know her, nor do i remember watching any of her movies. maybe i was too young when she made it big in the business), according to the blogsphere.

he is barely legal, only nineteen if the press releases are true, but he already possesses a body and a face that can light up anybody's fire, even those that have been frozen for so long, including elsa, both the hollywood cartoon character and the main character of himala. chos for the second time.

now that he is sporting a more mature look (beard, a bit of muscles), derrick is even more sizzling than the afternoon summer sun, enough to melt all the snow in antartica.

thank god derrick belongs to showbiz land and not in some monastery. otherwise, we will all be deprived of the soothing sight of this scorching young man.
