new gorgeous boy in town
what do you know?
while we are all loving (or cursing) the scorching summer, a new gorgeous boy flew in to town not so unnoticed, mind you, to set stomachs aflutter, steal our picky hearts, and reduce all of us, fabulous members of the pink community, into a chorus of swooning teen-age girls who have just escaped the clutches of the overly strict catholic convent somewhere in the east of paris.
his name? jeff langan. a veteran model at twenty one who had been shot by famous lensman for the fabulous set bruce webber for an ad for that sexy clothing brand a&f. jeff breezed into town to get acquainted with the culture of the other half of his parents (ok. i'll make it simpler, he is half-filipino. i am guessing it's his mother who is from the philippines. the blogsphere is quite vague on this important piece of information. it's like giving us a gdp growth figure without saying from which period it is).
according to the bench website (he has just been anointed by the top philippine clothing and underwear brand as its latest body, model and endorser), it's his first time in manila after a few months of living in bangkok for some modeling gigs. so far, he has been to boracay (why not palawan for a change?) enjoying its azure sky and seas, the fine, powdery sand and of course, the parties that could go as wild as in ibiza if you happen to be with the right company, or for that matter possesses a modelisque face and physique like jeff. (i should know. i've been there, done that, as the cliche goes.)
standing tall (pardon the cliche. but i am now starting to love cliches. they're such a comfort. they make you feel like being home on a rainy friday night watching your favourite show while seated comfortably on your favourite lounge chair with your mother right beside you, the warmth of her presence makes you feel so safe and loved) at six feet and an inch, with smooth, cappuccino skin, thick, black hair and flirty eyes (the oculus to the soul) that can also be serious and studios at the same time, jeff, still a boy at twenty one, longs for a career that will allow him to travel the globe and at the same time earn some extra money.
anyway, enough of the introduction. i know you re all so eager to see who and what i am talking about. ladies and pa-ladies, the latest young man to set manille on fire...........

anyway, these last two photos are my favourites. they make reading a book sexier, and being a nerd simply appetizing. if i found someone as great looking as him who also loves books (murakami, garcia marquez, tolstoy, kennedy, sittenfield, messud, mitchell, rushdie, yoshimoto, to name just a few....it will be a bonus if he also loves listening to fitzgerald, elliott smith, the smiths, beatles, holiday) then i swear to god i will no longer make him get away from me. i will follow him around the world if that is what it takes to make him mine. chos!!
